What we collect

From the organiser: the connection with PayPal (the account id, country, name and e-mail on the PayPal account, the e-mail stored encrypted). From participants: only the name they type, and the name on the PayPal account that paid (only the organiser sees it). Card and bank details stay with PayPal; we never see them. On your own phone we keep a random identifier and the name you typed (cookies), so you don't have to type it again. We don't ask for phone numbers.

Why we use it (legal basis)

To run the collection you joined: show the list and the payment status (performance of a contract), and to prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest). We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

The list is seen by anyone with the link: first and last name and whether they have paid. PayPal processes payments as an independent controller under its own privacy notice.

How long we keep it

Each event closes on the date chosen by the organiser. After that, names and payment history are deleted automatically (the number of days is shown when the event is created). We keep only a summary without personal data and the record of the activation fee, for accounting.

Cookies

Only essential cookies: your session as organiser, the identifier of your phone on an event, the name you typed and a daily visit counter that holds only the date. No advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Your rights (GDPR and UK GDPR)

You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it by writing to jrmemachado@gmail.com, or ask the organiser to remove your name. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Who we are

Racharia is a startup created by José Ricardo Machado Evangelista, who is the data controller. We are open to investor proposals: 30% of the startup is available for investment. If you are interested, write to jrmemachado@gmail.com. This is also the contact for questions, reports and any request about your data.

Racharia is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Payments are processed by PayPal.
